WASATCH CAMERA CLUB
Wasatch Camera Club has a wide range of activities for all levels of photography from the beginner to the advanced and professional. Many activities and educational programs are offered throughout the year. We are a nonprofit organization with one interest in mind...photography. The WCC is a great way to enhance your photographic skills and create long and lasting friendships. With the added benefit of the most spectacular scenery in the country just hours away, you'd better bring an extra roll of film.(or flash card) In our monthly meetings we have guest speakers local and national, presentations given by club members on specific subjects of interest, and of course, competitions.

FIELD TRIPS, WORKSHOPS AND PROGRAMS
The Wasatch Camera Club has a very active education program that includes field trips, workshops and programs. What are the differences between these? There are indeed some differences and they are articulated here to provide a better understanding of what the terms mean and what members should expect.
Field Trips: These involve travel to a designated place to photograph a particular subject or site. Participants bring their cameras, film and equipment. Field trip leaders are familiar with the locations and will coordinate the event. Participants are invited to ask other members for help, advice, and critique. In the past these have been freely given when asked. Most advanced photographers do not want to intrude on a less knowledgeable member, but will gladly provide assistance when asked. Generally, the club organizes one field trip per month, more in the non-winter months.
Workshops: Workshops will be on a specific subject or skill. Leaders will be responsible for describing the event, providing whatever equipment is necessary and operating the equipment. Attendees may or may not be asked to bring cameras for hands-on work. Typically workshops will be held at a time different than the general monthly meetings. Leaders will generally be WCC volunteers. In some cases, a workshop may be combined with a field trip. Generally, the club organizes at least one workshop per month except during the already busy month of December.
Programs: Generally, programs will be broader in scope than workshops, and will be held on the night of the general meeting. There are twelve monthly meetings, four of which are competition meetings. The rest are program meetings. Most programs involve the talent of an outside person who will address a specific subject related to photography.

PHOTOSHOP CLASSES
In an effort to be a leading and progressive camera club, we are offering ongoing Photoshop Courses during the year. Workshops in the past have included: Introduction Basics, Layers, Masks and Selections.
