January 17 Program - Dr. Paul Zuckerman

Wildflowers: Identification and Photography

It's no secret that photographing the small wildflowers of theĀ  Wasatch, for identification and display purposes, can be achieved by moving in very close to the flower head.
To provide ideal reproduction the tricks are to (1) reduce shadows (2) eliminate movement (3) minimize equipment set ups and (4) maximize depth of field (focus). It also helps to be able to work fast and have easily portable equipment. All of these objectives can be easily met using todays digital and/or film equipment, to achieve beautiful color enlargements and sharp image projection on a large screen.

This evenings presentation will address all these issues.
